For the price tag, I've been going to Mansur's as my go to lately and it used to be my #2. I might be in the minority but, I love high quality, simple food and Boudin dip with saltine crackers (Jubans) and corndogs with cotton candy (Soulou) just isn't it for me.

So right. Juban's was more like an upscale, old-school, New Orleans restaurant and it's trying to be trendy. The funny part, is a lot of times the most basic menus plus great service is what will get a busy restaurant and repeat diners.

This is why Gino's, Mansur's, and Ruth's Chris are consistently packed. Good (consistent) food, attentive (professional) staff, and a management team/family who seem genuinely happy to have you as their customer. Very simple equation.

I sincerely hope Juban's can find it's way home again.
