That's why Trey Hendrickson and Marcus Williams are still on the team, right?
If your concept of "the cap" is a singular year, then yeah, this argument has some merit. When you realize that future years get cap eaten up by these "in the moment" moves, then you understand the cap is real, and you're sacrificing future for the present. That impact on future caps is very real, and limits future spending.
