Met Huey Lewis in ‘85 at a San Francisco food bank benefit in Golden Gate Park. I was wearing an A’s cap and he came up to me told me about his friend Dave Kingman who was with Oakland at that time. Nice guy with a somewhat loud, booming voice.

Walton and Johnson told a story about being on the golf course with Huey back in the day and he whipped out his hog to take a piss. The heart of rock and roll was still beating apparently.

quote:Didn’t meet him but I had front row seats at a very small venue he played about 10 years ago. His voice (speaking and singing) is incredible. It sounded the exact same as it did on his albums 30 years earlier. He is a total pro’s pro of an entertainer. Best concert in terms of overall value and exceeding expectations I’ve ever been to.
