I don’t have a lot of info, but I talked with the guys in Missouri hosting us for the game. Apparently you want to hunt northern Missouri because the deer are much larger than the southern and central deer.
We saw tons of deer this weekend, which wasn’t super unexpected since they had a temp drop and it was 40 in the morning with highs at about 70. All that we saw though were huge. The does are easily as big as a lot of bucks in Louisiana, and their bucks can easily get over 225#. One of the guys said he killed one that was 301# 2 seasons ago. Apparently it’s because all they eat is corn and soybean straight from the fields. They said they actually taste much better than ours also.
However, they apparently have weird rules… landowners don’t typically have to pay for licenses. Non-residents it’s like $275 I think they said (firearm)- and you can only kill one. But some counties restrict licenses for the year. There is also an archery license that has some weird rules like you can kill 2, but only one before firearm season.

Primetime Outfiters
I have never been but I met the guy that runs this outfit before and he seems like a stand up guy. He's from Louisiana and hunts up in IL. They kill some good deer
