what happened to the pro style offense

lsu is known for having a pro style offense. even when we couldn't run it we wanted to. Now we have this stupid option and shotgun run thing.
Why would anyone run an option or a shotgun run on 2nd and 2 or 3? I have seen lsu do that often this year and lose big yards doing it.
Why in the world would you run a qb draw from the shotgun formation on 3rd and 12?

because defenses tee off on pro style offenses now.

I don't know of many powerhouse offenses running the option. Even if you run it occasionally you don't run it on second and 2!!!!
I hate the shotgun option. It puts us so far behind the line of scrimmage, to many bad things happen. Where does this Crowton come from anyway?

our team resembles the bad news bears before they were bad.
I hate our offensive style, mainly the option both from under center and from the shotgun.
I'm laying blame everywhere, right now it's on crowton's door step because LSU never was an option style football team. I still don't think tebow (although he is an outstanding runner) and florida or an option team

It's called the read option. I would say roughly 90% of college teams and a good bit of pro teams run some form of this. If you wanna know what kind of morons run this offense, lets see:
2005 Texas = NC
2006 Florida = NC
2007 LSU = NC

Right up there with the DUMBEST rant of the year. This is the same basic offense that won the NC for the last 3 years! LSU was awesome, scoring most points in LSU history last year. We scored enough to win most games this year if our D holds up. (Florida and Ole Miss excluded).

WOW!!!
Everyone of those teams mentioned had a waaaay BETTER QB running than JL. Maybe we should hold off on this type of offense until we get that type of QB.
