as I was nearing mandatory retirement age for my position my company made me an offer I couldn't refuse to stay on with them, it's a pretty cushy "retirement" gig that includes using my original date of hire vacation(almost 40 years,) that really makes it almost a part time job, I really enjoy it, keeps the brain engaged, and the money is pretty damn good, I'll probably milk this for quite a while

All you guys bailing out in your fifties, how the heck are you pulling off healthcare expenses? You all have military or gov't benefits?

I'm 56 and have been tossing around the idea of quitting my job, but paying for health insurance for 9 years until medicare kicks in scares me from doing it.
