Yeah, I don't think the folks in my local one deserve $25/hour.
Ate there Sat night at midnight, with my hot Pennsylvania blonde friend Heather (no pics). She got a little tipsy at the bar so wanted to sober her up a little.
Walked in, three workers there. Our hostess, Charlotte, was in her 70's, obviously a life long smoker. The night manager cook was a bald guy in his 50's. Victoria was the waitress / cook, bout the same age as the cook. They were slammed. Waited a long while for food. People would walk in and wait for a while then leave. Charlotte told us she gets off work at 2, but then has to be back at 6:30am as she agreed to an extra shift. Damn.
The other patrons were the best part. Lotsa piercings and tats. All shapes, sizes, and colors. Did have a large group of well-dressed young folks that looked like they all just came from church.
Heather had the Classic and I had the All Star with grits and the waffle ($11). Was fun.

Negotiation 101: your initial ask should be for more than you think is fair.
I think I read that in the "Art of the Deal."
