Just thought since tiger droppings is generally local I'd post here and ask about it. Not trying to blow off education but school makes me miserable. Still keeping my grades up the best I can but it is a struggle.

you are a sophomore in hs, it probably seems like time is standing still for you take it in stride and take every opportunity to learn, education gives you the ability to make educated decisions, before you know it hs will be over and life will start

look, want to know...you will struggle financially at first going to the trades(I still think operations and instrument tech are 1A/1B and millwright/machinist are 2A/2B) but if you do the following, about a 90% chance you end up middle to upper middle class by the time you are 50

1) do not have kids until you are 27-28

2) do not get married before 25

3) do not buy a new vehicle until you get married, drive one that is paid off

4) start putting $6,500 in a Roth IRA immediately. every year no matter what!!! Have it come out your check. until you make too much where you cant do this...never ever ever stop doing this.

5) start putting $100/week in 401k immediately. Every year, no matter what. And every time you get a raise, add $20 to that amount you put in weekly. Never ever stop doing this.

6) dont gamble, do drugs and dont drink during the week.

7) finish high school.

do the 7 things above and you will be successful no matter what. Life will be hard, you will work your arse off in the heat, you will struggle to make ends meet at times, but in the end you will be successful

other advice, find a good school district and buy a piece of land, then a trailer eventually and put it on there as early as you can or buy a small 125k house and fix it up. Stay until you are atleast 30+

just remember too when its 98 in july.....you choose this life.
