I for one am glad Curt talked about it. Never would have known if he hadn’t said anything. I imagine friends of the Wakefields, who also didn’t know, are appreciative of Curt speaking. It’s way worse to find out someone is on their death bed or died and you never had the chance to visit with them while they were ill.
man, it's not up to you to decide, it's the Wakefields. They probably shared it with who they wanted to, possibly would have told more as time went on, but have you ever been looked upon with pity? If you're any kind of man, it'll cut you to your core. And if they're taking treatments, they are most likely going to start withering. Nobody wants to be remembered as a husk of what they were, athlete or nerd

Wait, so the big concern is they look sickly? Not that they're going through the whole thing alone?

I think Curt had great intentions and maybe it's worth it to be demonized if the Wakefields now have a bunch of people rallying around them to help them through something very difficult instead of going at it alone.

You're basically advocating that friends of the Wakefields should close their eyes and mouths until the Wakefields crawl into a hole and die alone.

That's far more sad.
