I have a few plants in my front yard that have mealy bugs.
They are stripping the foliage quickly.
Any tips on how to get rid of them will be appreciated.

I usually use imidacloprid insecticide. You can spray it directly on the for quick kill, and also use it as a soil drench whereby the plant will uptake it and translocate it through its vascular system and then it kills the mealy bugs and other cytoplasmic “sucking” insects like aphids that return to the plant over a few months.

Most retail garden centers, good hardware stores, and likely even the 2 big box stores will carry an imidacloprid insecticide. Bayer manufactures one I’ve used in the past.

You can also use a all-season horticultural oil spray to smother them, also carried by retail garden centers.

Have you tried rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle? My mother used to use it on a q-tip and dab them, but you need a more efficient plan than that. I would try it first on a small portion to make sure it won't harm the plant.
