This is a great idea. The summers are oppressive lately. Not sure where you are but mountain areas work too, Ruidoso, NM is beautiful and cool in summer. Michigan is a great idea or any area near Great Lakes. I think Milwaukee is a great summer town and the lake is beautiful in that area.

If ruidoso is nice during summer (another place I’ve only been during winter) that would probably be my pick as well.

Milwaukee is a shite hole but the surrounding suburbs can be nice
