Rent a bicycle for a true amsterdam experience plus you can get around a lot easier than using the tram. Starbikes Rental near the train station rents black bikes (no advertising on them that screams I'm a tourist) for about the cheapest rate you can find.
Go have a beer at the Blue Tea House (Blauwe Theehuis) in Vondel Park. Brewery T'ij took it over during the pandemic so they serve their beers only but they have decent brews.
Proeflokaal Arendsnest near the Anne Frank House is a Dutch beer only bar.
Indonesian food is to the dutch what Indian food is to the English. Kartika on Overtoom rd is really good.
Soup en Zo has great soups.
Cafe Du Spuyt is a great brown bar
Mike Tyson has a coffee shop called Tyson 2.0 in the Centrum. I was bummed we never made it there this summer and supposedly they have gummies in the shape of an ear. Gray Area is where we usually go.
As others have said, the museums are great.
