It would depend on how he ran his campaign. But I would conclude that he did not present a vision of what America would look like under him that resonated with the voters. He’s not doing that now. Trump has sucked the oxygen out of the room and DeSantis isn’t doing anything of note to change that.
I’ll note that your response doesn’t put any fault for Trump’s hypothetical loss with Trump and instead focuses on DeSantis. Which is par for your posting style.

I dont expect him to win. But when you gain 10mil votes clearly something was going right. Now hes polling ahead of JB which you all said would never happen
Trumps fault if he loses he turns weak minded ppl off.
