Why didnt they just fly the helicopter where it needs to go?

There are lots of things that can ground the aircraft. It could be an inspection due, it could be a crack somewhere. Most things can be fixed at whatever base this belongs but sometimes it has to go in for major repairs and it can't safely fly there. Whatever it was, this now needs a transmission and head lol.

Might be one that is no longer in flying condition and is being shipped for parts.
