i mean, are you insinuating that you live a life without rules? do you drive? you chose to follow the rules
do you go to an lsu game or sporting event? you chose to follow the rules.
you can not follow the rules in those cases and get into trouble. Or you can not drive and not go to games for example.
i'm fine with the rules set by the hoa i decided to join. they align with my values and the way i live. if i didn't, i could chose to live somewhere else.

And like I said, that's all good.
It's hard for me to comprehend, but obviously lots of people like it.
But we have "bitch about HOA" threads pretty often, so they don't appear to be all great.
