I've watched them for years. They often play us tough in Starkville.

It would be more instructive to look at what Kevin Barbay did at his previous stops.

Season Run/Pass

CMU 2019: 53/47
CMU 2020: Covid Season
CMU 2021: 54/46
AppSt 2022: 58/42

2023:

vs. SELA: 58/42
vs. UAz: 70/30

Barbay doesn't typically run an offense as off balance as what he did against Arizona. I don't expect more of the same unless they are running rough shod over the defense. Rogers hasn't thrown a ton, but he's been efficient when he has, and he's protected the ball (0 ints). I don't know why they refused to give him the ball on multiple 3rd and 5ish situations and when Arizona was stacking the box. That won't fly on Saturday. I also don't know what he's capable of in a new offense. If his performance thus far can be extrapolated into more attempts, he could be very dangerous.

No, I don't think it will take 50 points to beat MS State. Barring a complete collapse by either, I don't expect either team to score that much.
