I agree with this statement but for entirely different reasons. TV has extended the games to the point where they are unbearable to watch from the stadium because of numerous TV timeouts.
I remember as a kid (early 80’s) seeing the final score and game highlights on the 10:00 news for games that started at 7:00. The game this past weekend started at 6:30 and went well past 10:30.
It’s almost as if the new rules were put into play to extend the duration of each TV timeout.
