I had those same suckers! PSA they love to nest in artificial plants. They chewed fake magnolia leaves in a wall basket I have and made a YUGE nest. In my ignorance I put my hand in the nest while arranging the leaves. ONE singular sting on my finger had my entire arm to the elbow swollen. Pain and itching for 5-6 days. I went on a killing campaign for a couple weeks after. I think I killed a few dozen and found about 10 other nests around my home. They were so aggressive any time I got close. I’ve never had that experience before. I USED to be a lot less afraid of wasps, but these guys are built different.
