Brick Mortar Color?

On part of my house the mortar joints are a different color than the majority of it? Without knowing what the grout mortar is how would I correct the wrong color mortar? It appears that a color was added to the mortar for all but the top 4' of two columns at my garage.

Matching mortar exactly is going to be tough. First step is to find a colored mortar set and try to determine. Google colored brick mortar. That should get you started.
Again, don't hope for an exact match, go for something that will "blend in". An exact match is almost impossible

My neighbor’s mortar faded few years after bricklaying job and wife did not like it. He painted the mortar black and it still looks good after 45 yrs.
