Imagine if there was a shot to take to immediately end drug addiction like meth or fentanyl, etc. Would we come on here telling the addicts to just use willpower and lay off the drugs?

I stopped smoking one day years ago by not lighting one up ever again. Yet I’ve got friends who still to this day can’t put them down.

It’s almost like people just want to bitch about fatties for the sake of bitching about fatties since any other group they bitch about is taboo.

No. The problem in America is we have 'normalized' Obesity to the point where you can't dare criticize them or you get ridiculous push back. Don't believe me? Just read this thread. Being fat is NOT normal. Being on a ton of prescription medications so you can continue to eat like a pig and be lazy and stay alive is NOT normal. Until we acknowledge this nothing is going to change. Our healthcare system in this country is an absolute mess due to Obesity and it is just getting worse. Putting a bunch of fatties on wonder drugs who will just revert to being fatties with lord knows how many health complications when they get off isn't the answer. Our government is to blame for much of this because they won't ban harmful chemicals/additives to food here like other counties do. That is a whole separate topic though.

While I know food can light up the parts of the brain of a fatty the way that drugs do to an addict, it's a totally different level of chemical addiction and you must know that.

I am no scientist, but I am in the camp that says these weight loss "miracle" pills are going to cause serious health issues later on and should be limited to people that have severe obesity, similar to gastric bypass/staples. I know housewives that take Ozempic (sp?) to lose 20 lbs of baby weight.
