As I said earlier, television has a say.

Yes, they have a voice. But so do LSU and FSU, and the networks, as powerful as they are, don’t have final day and can’t force the teams to play if they think they’ll be at any sort of disadvantage. And I don’t just mean a geographic disadvantage. Moving the game could greatly affect travel plans, practice schedules, and all other kinds of logistic things that we don’t even know to consider.

Another issue, will there be enough support staff a available to have the game in Orlando due to having hurricane recovery support missions in other parts of the state.

You are right about this at least. But Tiger Stadium is a non-starter. This game is too big for FSU to concede such a huge disadvantage. Foley was right about one thing, though. Whatever contingency plans they may be considering, they have to commit to one early and start preparing. The game is too important for both teams to just sit around and wait and have to make huge changes on the fly at the last minute. Even if Orlando winds up being fine. Can’t take that chance. Of course, that’s just if everybody is insistent on getting this game in somehow. The plan may be just to wait and see and the contingency is just to not play it at all.

A game with national championship implications and the Labor Day weekend headliner?

I do agree with you about this...and goes back to my thread title...is there any sort of contingency planning going on? the earlier a contingency plan is identified, the simpler things are to execute
