I don't understand the Trump no war line. We were involved in war every day of his presidency. Everything Trump accomplished was a McConnell idea, even right down to whom he should nominate for SC justices. Had any republican won in 2016, the political accomplishments that you claim Trump are responsible for would have all happened. We may have even accomplished getting rid of Obamacare if Trump hadn't made it so personal with McCain.

Trump was only really presented with one opportunity to use political force (Syria) and he responded with military force. And his justification was an emotional one (seeing the pictures of the injured child/ren).

The lack of military intervention during Trump's tenure is more good luck and virtue signaling than a real data point about what he'd do when military force was potentially necessary.

The best is when his NPCs bring up North Korea, as if we were ever in a real threat of going to war with them.

Oh I agree. He didn’t start any new wars, and he was responsible for Afghanistan ending, had the peace conference with North Korea, but he’s not exactly a peacenik and constantly threatened to up the stakes in Syria, Iran, North Korea etc. about the best you can say for his foreign policy is that he didn’t actually start a war with any of them, and seems like the most likely to disband NATO and let Russia do what it needs to with its neighbors because they’re of no importance to us.

I also agree with the Obamacare argument. He also didn’t have a backup plan. If they disbanded the ACA and everyone with a pre-existing condition got kicked off the next day, people would be furious and 2020 wouldn’t have been close.

Trump is great because he changes the makeup of a party that has grown stale and out of touch. Trump himself is just sort of an angry narcissist with no real consistent political agenda over the course of his public life other than protectionism
