How? It doesn’t seem possible with the current times. Do they work evening or overnight jobs? Can’t get in 8 hours between drop of and pickup at the current school times.

This is entirely normal in larger cities. Are you gonna have elementary, middle, and high school bus drivers with their own busses running one half-hour route per day? Or would you be smart and have one driver with one bus drive three routes each morning and afternoon for the three different schools at staggered times?

More simply, would you, as a tax payer, rather pay for the service or pay 3x for the exact same service? Call me crazy but I’d rather pay 1x than 3x for the same result.

Well the electrician owns the company. Not sure what kind of arrangement the lumber yard guy has with hours but most bus drivers I know drive as a 2nd and part time job.

I know of one who owns a tire store and another, a small nursery.
