1999 Arkansas.

LSU (2-8 and 0-7 in the SEC) was a huge underdog to No. 17 Arkansas in the last game of the year.

LSU had already fired Gerry DiNardo. Hal Hunter was in his only game as acting head coach.

LSU stunned Arkansas 35-10 in Tiger Stadium.

All of this. Also was my first LSU game with my dad.

2011, LSU beats Alabama in what was called the “Game of the Century”. The slogan for the entire CFB season at that time was “Every Game Counts”.

Unfortunately, the wrong team won the game and it didn’t count for the losing team as they were awarded with a title game birth anyway. When LSU lost the rematch, that loss counted against LSU.
