The cavalier attitude is certainly odd. There’s no shortage of evidence that rules and norms are completely discarded when it comes to Trump. The full weight of the federal and state DOJ’s across the country are targeted at him. Merit has nothing to do with it.

Even Jesus in His innocence couldn’t prevent a determined prosecution from wrongfully executing Him. I like Trump’s chances even less.

I expect some convictions , but then everything get overturned on appeal, or at the Supreme Court. I mean, Trump was President at the time, if anything, and had immunity , which carries over. The Documents case is the strongest, but there’s also case law and the Records act that will serve him in the higher courts. Trump will be protected in the end, but I do think he will initially be convicted in one of these kangaroo courts
