Looking at a JUCO top 100 list from PBR. They have like 60 guys committed. About 30 of them are committed to SEC schools (incl Texas and OU).
Oklahoma alone has 8 JUCO top 100 guys committed. We have 4, Tennessee has 4. All three have more JUCO guys committed than just the guys on the top 100 list.
I think the JUCO ranks are stronger than in years past and will actually continue to be a good pipeline. With the hubbub over the portal the last couple years, there are a lot of players that were recruited over that ended up in JUCO and got a lot of opportunity. I think that's going to carry forward for a little while.
Last summer there were a lot of small school shortstops that transferred to larger schools. The smaller schools didn't respond by continuing to play freshmen. They're playing JUCO guys and older portal guys. The talent level in the portal will be very volatile year to year. I think it's why some schools are still focused on JUCOs, so they can get the experience but with a little more of the traditional recruiting rather than the speed dating of the portal.

The attrition on this team has got to be higher than usual is that your guess?
