Also, what’s the deal with so many players being almost 20 years old seniors in high school?
They get held back for sports when they are young. Benefits them to be 19 playing against younger competition. Some of the extremely talented ones are now reclassifying to their correct grade. Others who do make it to a college campus are draft eligible after their sophomore years. Jared Jones, Paxton Kling, Gavin Guidry, DJ Lemahieu, Ty Floyd, Mike Fontenot to name a few.- There's many more.

its not just for sports...it looking at the future and knowing even at young age that kids in general, especially boys, can really benefit from the extra year living under the guidance of their parents before having to go out and make potentially life-altering decisions and the understanding that there should be no rush in getting your kid into the workforce.
ask any momma at graduation, athlete or not, if they wish they could keep their kid under their roof one more year or if they wish they had 1 more year with them in HS. if you r kid is a great kid, you will wish you had another year
