100% Past time.
Keep in mind one of the "founders" of the public education movement here in America said the following:
Horace Mann, the designer of the nation's first compulsory schooling law in Massachusetts in 1852, saw taxpayer-funded, universal compulsory schooling as a way to mold children into moral, democratic citizens. He famously said: “Men are cast-iron, but children are wax.”
Public education has NEVER been about educating kids.
Larry Sharpe who ran for NY Governor as a Libertarian has one of the more practical solutions on how to fix education in this country.
