I was more thinking hat it’s been over 100° for a month with no rain. 108° today. Can’t think of any other reason. Our section of the neighborhood gets lawn maintenance on Tuesday since we booked the same company.

Definitely intriguing. I would love to know what caused it.

If it is south facing it had the sun pounding on it. Combined with a 108 degree day it could have been very hot. It still should not shatter, but if it had a flaw in the glass I guess it’s possible.

Perhaps the extreme heat from radiation caused the glass to expand and bind in the frame. Then either it just burst on its own, or there was a bird strike that initiated it. I get bird strikes all the time on my windows and most of the time the bird flies away.
