Like the uniforms in general. Kids grow quickly, and it’s easier to keep them clothed with just a basic set of shirts/pants.
It does create some drama for sure. I was eavesdropping on a conversation at the hair place yesterday. Women were talking about the 3 inch or 4 inch rule for shorts or skirts—measuring the distance they are above the knees. They were getting all into the weeds about whether it’s measured from center of the kneecap or from the top. And what about if the kid has a growth spurt.
I thought about mentioning that my own system of measurement is from center of the anus, twice around the balls, to just past the tip. But, I kept quiet.
