I teach reformer Pilates. Like Pilates (or anything else), it’s mostly about the quality of the instructor. One advantage of Lagree is that hasn’t been around nearly as long so you’re likely to get a more consistent experience no matter which studio you go to., whereas Pilates can vary wildly from studio to studio. However, if you have any therapeutic issues or injuries then a good classically-trained Pilates instructor one on one is probably the better way to go. Otherwise Lagree would definitely be worth a try.
