If you've ever been around boating accidents where people got killed you'd applaud this action.

I'm not advocating getting blasted and getting behind the wheel of a boat, but boating and adult beverages sort of go hand in hand but you've got to be smart about it, if you're going to drive you've got to be the responsible one, if you stay away from trashy places like where all of the idiots are, maybe stay off the water when all of the idiots come out(big holidays,) and not having a boat load of idiots acting a fool, you probably won't draw undue attention to yourself, I've been boating a long time, have owned quite a few boats and I've never been pulled over and have never had anyone on my boat get hurt

Grew up next to the local boat launch where a canal connected to the river. A dam just downstream claimed multiple lives and the canal has always been a local boating hotspot. Watched multiple people get pulled out of bad situations both dead and alive. Before cell phones people would come to our house to use the phone. They'd lost their friends and family and were generally frantic. They all had one thing in common, beer on their breath. Boats and too much alcohol don't mix.
