They put her down super fast. Usually they’ll at least try to stabilize and get them in the ambulance if they can in front of that big of a crowd, especially at the finish line. Hopefully her adrenaline carried her through with less pain for the few minutes.

I’m heartbroken for Melanie Giddings. I teared up and walked out of the room.
