Friend,
My favorite religious writers are St. Paul, St. Augustine, Athanasius, Thomas of Aquinas, Bonaventure, John Calvin, Descartes, Jonathan Edwards, Isaac Watts, Pascal, Kierkegaard, Barth, Bruner, Reinhold Niebuhr, Weil, and Wittgenstein. Those whose literature has religious themes I particularly enjoy include Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, John Bunyan, John Donne, George Herbert (no relation to Robert of Thibodaux), Walker Percy, George Washington Cable, and Norman MacLean.
Yours,
TulaneLSU
