Im sorry guys if there was already a post on this subject, I didnt see one.
You may not like him very much, but nobody likes to see an athlete injured. I was wondering what JL's status was, The hit looked like it couldve hurt at the time, but just didnt look longterm serious to me?

I watched the replay. He has a high right ankle sprain. His leg was all twisted up under the defender.

From what I heard, some of the ole miss fans in TS seemed to like it just fine

So far all I've heard is that he's listed as "doubtful" for the Arkansas game. That's from Sunday, though -- may not be the most recent information.
For the record, Jarrett Lee will by his junior year be All-SEC caliber. ((I'm not calling that he'll actually be named to the All-SEC team, just that he'll be good enough to be there.))

Luke, I know Ole Miss fans are asses but why would they be cheering for him to be hurt? He almost threw a pick 6 a couple of plays earlier. It is not like he was lighting it up against them. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Well I didnt like it.
I agree that JL is a good QB, I just dont think he has the poise as a freshmen to handle what has been thrown at him.

He's doing the best he can with constant drops and overall underperforming pass protection. Granted, I expected a bit more, but he's by no means bad.

Just passing along what I heard, that's all

Simply retarded. Lee is a constant 3 and out. He's had more turnovers than Xavier Whipple and Torris Bright combined. Despite splitting time for several games and having one of the top rushing offenses in the country, he is 2nd in FBS in interceptions. He was never better than Hatch. He is not even close to as good as Jefferson. And give McCartney a year, and he'll be worse than T.C.
In August, I said he was the next Robert Lane. Now I want to apologize to Lane for those hurtful comments.

Does Mike Vick have any eligibility left. Maybe we can get him out for this Friday as a work release program

I would hate to see your example of bad. JL reminds me so much of Jamie Howard. A good practice QB, but horrible gameday QB

Alright, really, y'all. Jarrett Lee has cost LSU one game. People point to Alabama, but that rollout play in OT? Two receivers. Yes, he threw an INT. But who's he supposed to throw it to? Richard Dickson was double-covered as well as LaFell -- he went with the person he thought had a better shot at jumping for the ball and pulling it down.
And while people point to that, if Chris Mitchell doesn't drop a surefire TD, then the Tigers win. Plain and simple. He didn't play well, but he did enough to win.
Again: he hasn't been good, and he's cost LSU a game, but for a freshman in the SEC, he's not bad. Not good, but not bad. Hell, his record assuming a win over Arkansas and in the bowl game is Matt Stafford's as a freshman, only without the receivers dropping game-winners and non-game-winners alike -- and we all saw this year how that turned out for the Dawgs.
You're simply not giving him a chance to improve.

According to the rantards, JL won't have the opportunity to be SEC caliber. RS is coming in next year and taking hold of the qb position.

That will also be his second year being invited to New York.
