Better breeze on the Atlantic side, so fewer bugs.
Better sunsets on the Caribbean side.
Winding Bay is a protected bay, so no waves at all. But it has beautiful sand beaches.
A lot of the beaches have big patches of limestone/rocks that make it a bit uncomfortable for the younger kids.
A plus on the Caribbean side, there are some very nice places that don’t have sandy beaches, instead they have coral/limestone drop offs at the water. Great snorkeling at high tide. You will run into nurse and lemon sharks and rays cruising right up at the bank in 5 feet of water.
