Chris Rock said it best, he said "you got two kinds of malls. You got the white mall, and you got the mall white people used to go to, and there aint no in between". "And there are only two things you can get at black mall, thats baby clothes and sneakers cause all dey think we be doin is runnin and fkin."

I have always thought that this was one of his most hilarious skits because its BR to the T. From malls to movie theaters to shopping centers, whenever a new one pops up, the old one closes.

BR only having one mall just doesn't work. Cortana did well because we still had the Bon Marche Mall, when it closed Cortana went into decline. When the mall of LA opened up, it was only a matter of time before Cortna would fall. When Cortna fell, the Mall of LA started its rapid decline. The only thing keeping it alive is the fact that BR doesn't have a "new mall".

I think the solution is to build a new mall catered for urban culture where you can do you. Loitering and street races at night, weed smoking would be legal, no concealed carry permits required, and night clubs hosting the next up and coming rap artist. Will it be safe? Hell no. Will people die? Absolutely. But that is the culture they want so stop fighting it and provide an environment for them to live they way they want to live so that the other cultures who don't want to live this way can have their space back.
