I got a couple $1000 offers on the jacket, but I couldn’t sell it until I heard from Bert Jones. I sold it back to him for the $300 I gave you for it.

The phone call from Bert Jones was crazy. I couldn’t find his number so I called LSU Sports Information office. I told them what I had, but they wouldn’t give me his number, so they took mine.
A couple hours later I get the call. He was calling from his work and was little defensive when he was talking to me, thinking it was a joke or I was some kind of crazy fanatic.
I described the jacket, and said it was either his or his brother’s. He told me he would call me when he got home, to see if his was missing.
He calls me later and says it was his jacket. His wife did some spring cleaning and donated a bunch of stuff, including his jacket.
He said this wasn’t the first time. On top of a letterman jacket, they received letterman blankets made by Pendleton.
His wife once gave it to the dog to sleep on outside in the dog house.
