Barcelona is a team he is tied to so he will never play for Real Madrid. Barcelona has financial issues and can’t sign him right now.
So that leaves him with England, Italy, and Paris St Germain. He tried Paris and didn’t like the atmosphere. Honestly it seems like none of the stars like it there.
Then there is Italy, which is competitive, but the salaries aren’t comparable.
Of course the big option is England, and I’m surprised he didn’t end up there.
Besides England, he could be here or in Qatar, UAE, or Saudi Arabia.
A ton of great players are choosing that last option but Messi thankfully chose MLS over Saudi Arabia.
