quote:Yeah that’s the unfortunate part of their business model. The newer agents they push push push to sell more and help file less claims. The people who have been around 5+ years usually tell corporate to frick off because they are under contract to sell their services. The first 2 years as a new agent, they have you under a temporary contract before they will give you a “permanent” contract. You have to have certain metrics to get that permanent contract. And it causes situations like yours.
Hoss, one of your agents in MS 1000% did exactly that. I didn’t dream this or make it up. This particular agent had insured my parents for years. The guy died and the agency was transferred, sold, or bequeathed to someone else. The new guy tried his hardest to keep my Mom from filing the claim. Sorry to burst your bubble but not all State Farm agents are angels.

This isn’t the case anymore, change was made two years ago.
