Sorry, wrong. It happened regularly around my kids for over a decade, and is still occurring. I watched the aftermath of helicopter parenting at LSU with the younger students in the early 00s. It is easily 2/3 of women (that are super busy and stressed, doncha know!) that go along with this kind of garbage.
Men let women get away with this crap, and then we became enablers.
