I had only been following the league for a couple years but the 2002/03 west ham team is still one of the most surprising relegations ever. That year was crazy. 44 points was needed for safety (this past year was 36) Leeds started that season in Europe and only clinched safety on the penultimate weekend with a surprise win at Arsenal which cost them the title.
