There are exceptions but most Americans still in MLS by age 25 are 3rd tier national team guys at best. You can say the same for Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, etc. No western hemisphere league can compete with the top leagues in Europe. Best case for the US is that our domestic league creates enough talent to send 30-50 guys to Europe that make up our talent pool with occasional youngsters breaking in from MLS. We’re a lot closer to that goal now than we were even 6 years ago
