Lie-max is what I’ll settle for. I avoid Dolby Prime because the dual projectors at the NOLA locations are out of phase which creates fuzzy images in the corners of the frame. Waste of money. Plus the high contrast of this format will be least film-like, and furthest from Nolan’s aspect ratio— thankfully the Lie-max’s in NOLA DO have boxier formats (not quite 4.3), but this is not true of all Lie-max. Fair warning, those of you who see it in film will be surprised at how dim the image is compared to even a standard DCP, and if you have an incompetent projectionist you’re in for a muddy image. Saw Dunkirk on celluloid in Elmwood and it was a disaster (at that time the cinema was terribly run). The real reason to see it in that format is the aspect ratio… or if you suffer from some fetishistic attachment to the idea. Lie-Max is the right compromise (without traveling forever).

Prytania is showing it in 70mm. Better to see on standard 70mm or fake IMAX?
