Beating Bear Bryant in Alabama and Bobby Bowden’s Florida State, then losing to a 4-7 Tulane team is the most 1982 Jerry Stovall thing ever.

Imagine Brian Kelly beating Bama, then losing to 4-7 A&M times 100

It rained like hell that night.

I was there. I still maintain that on the winning TD for Tulane, Reggie Reginelli crawled the last 3 yds into the end zone on his hands and knees.

That entire month of November was kind of up and down. Beat Bama, got beaten by a 3-6 Mississippi State squad that was in the midst of a 6 game losing streak, blew out Florida State, then lost to a 3-7 Tulane team.
