re: How old are you and what year was your paternal grandfather born?

I was born in 1987, not sure when my paternal grandpa was born, but it must have been the early to mid 1920s. We have pics of him from his army days on the beaches of France and as a cook at a pow camp. The first time I saw them I didn't recognize him. He was always the old man who loved playing with me and having me by his side, not the fit young man who looked like he could beat down anything that came at him, and did.
