LINK to a Reddit post 10y ago announcing the AS-D2, but it was not their first razor or their only one. They have been a company producing razors and very fine surgical instruments since 1932. I don’t actually have a link to their history of razors, but I believe they’ve been making handles as long as they’ve been making razors.
About a decade ago, the handles weren’t particularly popular, but their plastic handled TTO has been pretty well regarded as a starter/travel razor (though I never did pull the trigger on the little guy). If you sort by top, the first review is from 2013.
