When Texas is 7-5 at the end of the season and LSU is 11-1 or 12-0, let's see what the recruiting situation looks like . . .

You say this as if recruits actually care about on the field performance.

Texas over the last 4 years:

2019: 8-5
2020: 7-3
2021: 5-7
2022: 8-5

Florida over the last 4 years:

2019: 11-2
2020: 8-4
2021: 6-7
2022: 6-7

Texas A&M over the last 4 years:

2019: 8-5
2020: 9-1
2021: 8-5
2022: 5-7

LSU over the last 4 years:

2019: 15-0, National Champions, SEC Champions, GOAT team
2020: 5-5
2021: 6-7
2022: 10-4, SEC West Champions

LSU has achieved significantly more over last 4 years than Texas, Texas A&M, and Florida. Doesn't matter. Florida has gone 6-7 the last two seasons yet has a top 4 class on every recruiting service with almost 20 guys committed. Texas A&M went 5-7 last year and just passed LSU in the recruiting rankings despite having fewer commitments. Texas has a higher average player rating than LSU and is set to pass us when they receive more commitments.

These other schools have been absolute garbage in recent years yet they have no trouble bringing in elite players. We won the SEC West in Brian Kelly's first year here. Is that really helping us right now recruiting? Doesn't seem like it.

Kids aren't going to care about whether a major program goes 5-7, 8-4, or 10-3 in a given year, as the current recruiting rankings clearly demonstrate.

All 4 teams have been inconsistent over the past 4 years. But TX and LSU appear to be on the upswing more than aTm and FL. However, I can't help but think that the Aggies will do better this year based upon their talent alone (and possibly Bobby P even though I can't stand him).
