And it makes me sad that we are where we are today. People depending on a government check, poverty, no shits given about the average hard working American. All about the vote to keep corrupt assholes in power who could give two shits about people only lining their own pockets. It’s a travesty and makes me sad what my ancestors did in previous wars as I’m sure many of yours did. If those guys saw what was going on today they would probably cry and wonder what in the world happened. Cause I do everyday

Watching a History Channel re-enactment of Ben Franklin's last meeting with his british loyalist son Gov. William Franklin reminded me of the same polarizing identity politics that's resurfaced today. Lines are drawn in the sand, even among families & friends. Political ideologies so starkly opposite, they can't co-exist peacefully.
Ben & William never reconciled. William was eventually forced into exile & fled for refuge offered by the like-minded sheep in England.
