Right because it's extremely hard to consistently kill snakes in the everglades without trapping them first They're saying that because it's common sense.

They're damn near impossible to see amongst their surroundings, they can move relatively quick when you get up to them, and you don't have a big target to hit if you're shooting at them to ensure a guaranteed kill without them slithering off to maybe die somewhere, they're thick and tough as shite EVERYWHERE BUT their heads

My friends snag them then usually just stab them in the skull or chop off their head. Usually they're "trapped" for a couple of seconds. That's all they mean by "humane kill."

If you could spray them with liquid nitrogen, or ground up dry ice, then you could just hit them with a sledge hammer.
